Medicare Drug Coverage
Original Medicare does not cover most prescription drugs. However, you can purchase a Part D plan.
Medicare Part D is a prescription drug plan (PDP) in which you buy from a private insurance company that has a contract with Medicare.
PDP plans have a premium as well as co-insurance, deductibles or copays for the medications. The formulary (list of drugs covered) on each PDP is different. When choosing a plan, you will want to ensure your prescriptions are on the formulary.
We offer free informational Medicare workshops throughout the state of Minnesota and free one-on-one meetings with agents where you can ask questions and get personal answers. We can help you select the right prescription drug coverage for your needs. To attend a seminar or set up an appointment call us toll free at 1-800-507-6778 or send us a message. We are here to help.
