5 Date Night Ideas for Couples Over 50

February 8, 2018 | Debby Jesser

This Valentine’s Day, spend a special day with your loved one by trying something new this year. Whether you’re celebrating with your spouse or with someone new, these date night ideas for couples over 50 will create a memorable night out.

1. Take a Class

Hands-on activities make for a fun, fast-paced dating experience. It can be a cooking class, pottery class, even a spin class – as long as you spend it with your sweetheart, it’s special.

2. Wine Tasting

Take your taste buds on a vacation by sampling wines. Sampling wines together is a fantastic way to make a new memory. If you or your partner don’t drink, try a cheese tasting instead for a similar experience.

3. Volunteer

Show your love for each other by helping spread love in your community. Volunteering at a local food shelter or other nonprofit in your area is a fantastic way to give back and help those in need feel loved on Valentine’s Day.

4. Recreate Favorite Dates

Together you’ve created some fond memories – why not relive them? You can experience the magic all over again of a first date or anniversary. For new couples, try recreating your favorite scenes from romantic movies.

5. Discover New Places At Home

This is a perfect date for couples over 50 who want to try something new. Is there a restaurant you’ve been “meaning to check out?” What about an area in your hometown you never really visit? Spend Valentine’s Day exploring your hometown. Who knows – maybe you’ll find some new favorite spots.

No matter how you spend Valentine’s Day (or who you spend it with) it can be a memorable night.
